I was a Radio Technician for the Michigan State Police and retired in July of 2002.  In the early days we were referred to as Radio Engineers.

I like to Chase DX, Contest and rag chew.  I like 15, 17 and 80 meters the best, but you might find me most anywhere.  During the winter months I mostly hang out in the 75 meter DX window till 2 or 3 AM.  Wednesdays at 9:30AM EST you can find me on 3.804MHz chatting with my fellow Michigan State Police Radio Tech Retiree buddies.

My other hobbies are, Computers, Web Pages, eBay, Golf, Texas Holdem and vegetable gardening in the summer until the weeds win.

My XYL Mary  thinks I might have a screw loose as I also like rebuilding my radio shack.  With almost 50 years of ham radio I probably have averaged a rebuild or large change at least once a year.
