| Jack Richard Hengartner passed away May 23,
2011. Jack was born 1941 in Manistee
and was raised by his grandparents.
Jack was a 1959 Manistee High School
graduate, as well as a 1962 graduate of DeVry Technical School.
He had a lifetime electronics career throughout Illinois and Michigan
and retired after 24 years from Michigan State Police communications
division 7th district
headquarters in 1997. During that time Jack did extensive
research and development for the department.
He was an avid ham operator. In
his retirement he spent much time in videography and historical video
projects.
