My grandfather was Floyd Asa Martin..born 8/9/1993 died 11/2/57.  I'm sorry to say I have almost no information in regards to him being a State Police Office, I did not know him.  I was the last grandchild born in my family and he was long gone by the time I came on the scene.

I was given the picture album that these pictures came from by my Grandmother 25 or so years ago when she broke up house keeping.  None of the pictures have any info except last names I guess???

From what I know of my grandfather was he came home from WW1 in 1918 and went into the Michigan State Police.  He lived in a town called Butternut which I think was near Lansing???  

My grandmother had tooled leather things, like wallets and beaded handbags that came from the Jackson Prison made by inmates.  Anyway my grandmother was from a very wealthy family and I do not know where or how they met.. but the family would not allow the marriage unless he retired from the force.  He did and they were married in 1924.  

My grandfather became a truck driver and was killed in a truck accident.
