Dave Held

Dave was hired into the department as a Radio Operator in Paw Paw December 1957.
He was promoted to Radio Tech in the 7th District at Traverse City in 1962.
In 1972 he was promoted and transferred to Operations and Communications in Lansing
as Chief of Communications Section. Later the department was reorganized and Communications became a division of its own, Dave was promoted to Director of Communications. Again later when the contract was being negotiated for the new 800MHz radio system he became Deputy Director.
Dave retired when a early out was offered in 1997.
