Jerry was hired as a radio operator at Paw Paw in 1957.  In 1958 he was promoted to Radio Telegraph operator and transferred to East Lansing.

January 1st of 1963 he was promoted to Radio Technician and transferred to Detroit.
Still as a Radio Technician in 1970 Jerry transferred back to Paw Paw, 5th Radio District.
In 1976 he was promoted to Assistant Chief Radio Technician and transferred to East Lansing.
He retired in October of 1984.
